Internships

As part of our skills development programme, Wesizwe initiated an internship programme based on industry needs to support skills development in the core and support functions of the mining industry. Even though Wesizwe does not currently have permanent jobs for these learners, our intent is that in future they will apply for jobs at the Bakubung Platinum Mine. As such, this programme is used to provide unemployed learners an opportunity to improve their employment potential.

At present, the internships only run for a period of six months, although this will be extended effective from 2015 to twelve months, as Wesizwe’s operations intensify.
